I am an established phone interpreter for a globally recognized company. I have extensive movie translating and subtitling experience, along with varied translation work in many types of manuals (including multiple fields). I have worked as a Senior Dutch proof-reader for an international company too. English < > Dutch translator/transcreator/copywriter/editor | education & e-learning | corporate & marketing | The right language for your audience Engage your target market with a message that syncs with the location, culture and style of your audience. Maybe your training program needs tailoring for maximum study results. Or your company is conquering a new market – your customized communication will give you that access and get those results. You’re not really looking for a translator, are you? Of course you're not – there are plenty of free tools to convert your words to another language. But when it comes to composing an attractive message in a language your audience understands and likes, a message that inspires and drives action, machinery and simple translation fall short. That’s where you need the human touch. That’s where you need transcreation. So reach out for your English and/or Dutch communications. Together we speak the language of your audience.

Through the years I have made translations of various texts for agencies worldwide as well as directly for end clients. I have also worked as a translator/ international correspondent for Tyco Valves & Controls (pumps and valves industry), from 2005 through 2009, and for Hero Breda (food industry), from 1992 through 1996. In these jobs I learnt a lot about the translation of technical and practical subjects and natural sciences. I now combine my love for and knowledge of these subjects with my love for languages and translation. I developed a taste for the literary genre as well: since 2012 I have worked closely with a publishing company, called ClusterEffect, and have translated several novels, both fiction and non-fiction. To name a few: The New Medicine Man (Boris Bouricius), The New World Order (Han Peeters), Sleeping Ulysses (Jess Jordan).

With a Master's degree in Translation Studies and tons of experience, I'm confident I will be able to provide the high quality translation you are looking for! I'm a native speaker of the Dutch language and am highly proficient in English, to the point that I can call myself near-native. I have a Bachelor's degree in Swedish so I'm comfortable translating from Swedish to either English or Dutch, and having worked as a proofreader at a Dutch marketing agency for years, I have a sharp eye that never misses a mistake. I specialise in audiovisual translation and the translation of fiction but I'm always willing to branch out. Drop me a line!

I am a graduate student in an international programme of Economics at KU Leuven university, taught in English. Previously, I obtained a master's degree in philosophy. This means that I can handle both culturally-oriented texts as well as more scientific ones. Over the last several years, I became very experienced in online freelance translations, as I worked for several companies, now focussing entirely on Smartcat.

To connect entrepreneurs internationally is my goal! I love to speak English and combine the best of all languages. Since 2015 I have been self-employed and I mainly do translations for companies in the UK/USA and the Netherlands. I love my work and always try to make the best of it. My spontaneous character is a perfect fit with most companies and managers.
