I am French and Swiss German, grew up and did a Law Phd in France and in French: French being considered as my mother tongue, even though I grew up in German, but anyhow… My Dad has had the opportunity to spend a few years in the States (Westchester County, NY) and we of course followed him. We visited the American school system (7th grade on my side) and learned English there. Wonderful experience! I've entered the field of translation in 2016 after being involved in other activities after finishing my masters in Translation studies. So, it was somehow going back to my first love. Since that moment translating has become my main activity, working as a freelance translator with agencies and private clients ever since. In this globalized world, when connections are very important in every field, whether we talk about business, travel, private life or medical issue, I feel that translators are that bridge that allow people to get where they need or where they want. The diversity of documents and fields that I have the opportunity to work with as a translator make me appreciate the challenges and enrich my knowledge. I am master degree holder. I studied English at university where I was specialized in language and communication. I worked as substitute English teacher at the middle school. I also received a training at a legal certified translation office. I have good command of English and French especially in writing. I am a native Arabic speaker. During the past six years, I have gathered extensive experience in translation from English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish into French. I worked with a wide range of topics and media such as press articles, videos, or technical reports about international trade, environmental sciences, energy, economics, politics, and arts. I also have experience with editing and proofreading.

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.
