i just started out as a translator. due to my previous working expierence in the medical field, i am interested in medical translations

I translate between English German and Greek and also work as a writer, content writer and creative writer.

I have been working as a translator for a number of international agencies and online platforms for more than 9 years now. In addition, I worked as a teacher of French, English and German for about 13 years, preparing students for their A-Levels. I hold an M.A. in English, French and Literature and completed my studies at the University of Osnabrück in December 2011. During my studies, I spent two academic years abroad, namely in Angers (France) and in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and have been to the US a number of times over the years as well. Starting out as an interpreter for a local translation agency in 2013, I have been expanding my collaboration with a number of international agencies and online platforms ever since and completed countless translations for major international companies and SMEs from all over the world.

A native German speaker, I am fluent in English, live in Germany, where I have studied for a master in social sciences and philosophy and worked in the corporate world in various positions. I have graduated with full marks in Translation Studies for Information Technologies at Heidelberg University in 2018, with a thesis on the translation of a German website in English. During my bachelor I participated to Erasmus+ program, going to London Metropolitan University for two semesters. In 2017 I have done an internship in a German LSP, where I provided technical translations from English to German and vice-versa. While in London, I have partly translated London Metropolitan University website to German.

I grew up in Germany and have visited my huge American family in the US State Ohio every year for a month, give or take. I have been fluent in English since 1989. I have worked for a medical device producer for over a total of 3 years, translating regulations and processes required by the ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820. I have spent a month going over the new MDSAP guideline. I studied the subjects German and English to teach it at the Gymnasium, which is the equivalent to an academic high school. I will go back to teaching in February, but since I miss working with languages in a more direct way, I want to keep translating different projects. I am also a major modern literature fan and would not mind translating (short) stories, either.
