Language has always fascinated me-not merely the speaking of foreign languages but the act of translation in particular. Transforming the precise meaning of a text and making it alive in a different language requires more than an excellent command of the grammar and vocabulary of the target language. I hold an M.A. in English, French and Literature and completed my studies at the University of Osnabrück in December 2011. During my studies, I spent two academic years abroad, namely in Angers (France) and in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and have been to the US a number of times over the years as well.
