I began working as a freelance translator during my master studies at the University of Vienna in 2013. During this period I mostly did subtitling jobs for the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna. After my graduation in January 2015 I began to work with several translation agencies, specialising in tourism, arts and culture, legal texts, website translation, marketing and cosmetics.

As a trained European Merchant, with additional subject-specific training for lawyers in English, I have worked as a sales assistant, sales representative and recruiter for about 10 years, before I started freelancing full-time in 2009. Translating patents (technical English and German) became the main focus of my work as well as manuals and instructions, product descriptions and free style writing. As my clients are lawyers, manufacturing companies, marketing agencies and many more, I enjoy delivering anything from legal language to more creative writing. To keep high standards I regard proofreading and post-editing as extremely important. I am looking forward to support you - Yours, K3 :-)

English to German Translator My areas of expertise are technical, financial (with a special focus on forex), e-commerce, tourism, medical and academic texts. Language has always fascinated me-not merely the speaking of foreign languages but the act of translation in particular. Transforming the precise meaning of a text and making it alive in a different language requires more than an excellent command of the grammar and vocabulary of the target language. The translated text needs to sound natural and fluent, and maintaining the correct context is similarly essential. Translation of web-based e-commerce pages, for instance, is very different from translating an academic text or a literary piece. I specialize in translating documents from English or Dutch into German, my mother tongue. I translate only into my home language as translations out of one’s home language can go badly wrong-both for oneself and for the client-if one is not fully bilingual. I am reliable.

I am a native German and a professional translator for 22 years. During this time I specialized in technical, medical, legal, IT and website translations. Over the past years, I have also translated a couple of books (novels) for both well-known international authors and emerging writers. I offer my clients high-quality translations and always respect given deadlines. Furthermore, I am a good communicator and flexible team worker.

I was born in Switzerland and at the age of 3 we moved to Slovakia, so I'm proficient in German and Slovak. I have learned and studied the English language for 15 years now, so I'm fluent in it as well. I have worked for multinational companies, which required customer support in English and German on a day to day basis. Looking forward to starting translating. My passion is reading books and learning new stuff.

Thanks to many stays abroad in the US, Spain, and Latin America I could perfect my English and Spanish skills. Besides working as a translator and interpreter, I also do subtitles in German, English, and Spanish. I'm really looking forward to new projects and collaborations with you!

I was born in the beautiful Tauber valley on April 13th, 1983, and moved to Germersheim in 2002, where I studied Translation at FTSK Germersheim, the department for Applied Linguistics and Cultural Studies of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. Towards the end of my studies, I accepted an internship with IBM Germany in Frankfurt/Main in the winter term 2009, where I did translations for the „European Consolidating Project“ from April to September 2009 on site as well as from home. Already during this internship and afterwards I have been working as a freelance translator and established my business in January 2010 in Germersheim, where I still live now. From September 2010 to September 2011, I also worked as a customer care agent with Ricambi Weiss, a motorcycle pieces and accessories reseller who has customer all over Europe, whereas I was on the hand responsible for all French-speaking customers mainly located in France, Belgium and Switzerland as well as for Spanish-speaking customers. I kept up with my freelance translations during that time, though, as translating has been my passion since I started to study and always have taken a great interest in foreign languages and cultures. This passion also led me to doing a one-month internship with the “Mémorial de Caen“ in Normandy in 2004 as well as to spending 6 months in Salamanca, Spain, within the frame of the Erasmus program. Apart from my work, I use also my spare time to get into touch with other cultures that you can find galore even in a small place like Germersheim, but I also enjoy, whenever possible, traveling to learn more about other people and their way of living.
