I'm a 37 years old native German author and translator. Within the last years I translated websites, newsletters, contracts or other documents and also books. Before this I studied management of media (including a semester abroad in the UK) and began a schooling as an alternative practitioner for animals. All the years I worked in different side jobs, gaining knowledge in areas I otherwise might not have touched (florist, industrial production, programming, journalism, etc.). I have graduated with full marks in Translation Studies for Information Technologies at Heidelberg University in 2018, with a thesis on the translation of a German website in English. During my bachelor I participated to Erasmus+ program, going to London Metropolitan University for two semesters. In 2017 I have done an internship in a German LSP, where I provided technical translations from English to German and vice-versa. While in London, I have partly translated London Metropolitan University website to German.

I'm a native German and very fluent in English, taking curricular and extracurricular courses before and during university. I am a regular translator on Gengo (Pro level with a score of 9.8 and 41,000 translated words), Smartcat (95,000 translated words), and on other platforms on a project-by-project basis. Having studied Dutch, International and European (Corporate and Commercial) Law in Maastricht on Master level and being half Dutch I'm able to master the Dutch language on a fairly high level. Also, I have achieved the official language certificate NT2 II which refers to level B2/C1 and is aimed at university level. My English skills are mirrored by two Cambridge Certificates (FCE and CAE which refer to the level B2 and C1) combined with 15/15 points for my Abitur-exam in 2012. I am a German and French qualified lawyer who has worked for over 20 years as a legal consultant and attorney in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and other jurisdictions. Last year, I relocated to Normandy / France and took a one-year sabbatical. Since January 2022, I have started a language service company and offer legal and book translation services and German and English business language courses. I translate from English or French to German and French or German to English. To maintain the highest quality standards, I currently do not offer translation to French or any other language.
