I am a PhD candidate at Koç University, Istanbul, at the faculty of Archaeology and History of Art. I have studied English for almost 20 years, I wrote my master thesis in English and my current PhD program is fully taught in English. I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality. I'm Ph.D. in Political Studies (Università di Roma La Sapienza), member of the editorial board of the Nuova Rivista Storica and of the SOG 18 (Society for 18th Century Studies on South Eastern Europe), University of Graz. I studied perfectly Latin at High School and sustained at the university several exams of English, German and French Language and Culture practicing my translation skills while writing my Master Thesis with proficiency. I pursued further skills working with contracts, patents, diplomatic documents and treaties which unfortunately I cannot show for reasons of confidenciality. Finally I improved my knowledge of Serbian during my stay in Belgrade for my Ph.D. researche. My method of work is based on a deep respect of the original text, in consideration of the risk bringed by a too literal translation.
