I'm Ph.D. in Political Studies (Università di Roma La Sapienza), member of the editorial board of the Nuova Rivista Storica and of the SOG 18 (Society for 18th Century Studies on South Eastern Europe), University of Graz. I studied perfectly Latin at High School and sustained at the university several exams of English, German and French Language and Culture practicing my translation skills while writing my Master Thesis with proficiency. I pursued further skills working with contracts, patents, diplomatic documents and treaties which unfortunately I cannot show for reasons of confidenciality. Finally I improved my knowledge of Serbian during my stay in Belgrade for my Ph.D. researche. My method of work is based on a deep respect of the original text, in consideration of the risk bringed by a too literal translation.

I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality. I'm a linguistics-enthusiast italian guy who completed his bachelor degree in translation at the University of Genoa, Italy. I truly love experiencing and analyzing foreign cultures, reason why I have spent a considerable amount of time abroad considering my young age: I have lived in Russia for 1 month, in Poland for 5 months and in Australia for 15 months.

I graduated from the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators in Florence where I got a University Diploma (1998) EN>IT - DE>IT. I began to work as foreign language expert and manager assistant for an international architect in Florence (1999-2002). After a couple of years, I joined a buying office (2002-2006 ) - dealing with the fashion industry, first as a translator, and then, as a production and logistics coordinator. I'm a freelance translator since 2007. I'm a TAUS certified Post Editor, Quality Manager and Transcreator. My fields of specialization are Marketing and Web Marketing, Media and Communication, Cryptocurrencies, Clothing and Healthcare. I also cooperate with a local web agency in charge of translating and localizing websites.

I am a freelance Software/Web Developer and English to Italian Translator. I have translated a wide range of different subjects, including fiction (mainly sci-fi novels), technical texts (mainly IT and electronics), marketing items, company policies and internal memos, websites, etc. I also have about 3 years experience in simultaneous interpretation (from English to Italian) in public events.
