I am a professional translator. Before and during my academic career I have worked as a freelancer, performing on specialized texts such as user manual guides, scientific abstracts, patents, technical data sheets, popular science articles, and business contracts. I am able to translate other literary genres, also less formal like novels, newspaper and fashion articles, and literary works in general with a certain degree of proficiency at using CAT tools like SmartCat, OmegaT, Wordfast Anywhere, SDL Trados, MateCat. My linguistic combinations are: IT>EN/EN>IT, IT>DE/DE>IT. I am very flexible in terms of working hours and workload because I am prepared to work late and also on weekends in case of urgent projects. I love my job and you can rely on me. I will be responsible to deliver a high-quality translation while keeping the agreed deadline. Quality and reliability are of utmost importance to me.

I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality. I am able to translate very technical texts, like instruction manuals for X-ray inspection systems, but also to use my creative side to produce translations of content marketing articles.

I am an Italian national, and a PhD graduate from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. I work day-to-day with technology and I have been in the translation business since 2010. I'm a reliable and professional person, as my referees can testify (available upon request).

I'm a professional translator from English, French, Japanese into Italian (native speaker). I specialise in subtitles for TV shows, films and corporate videos but I also translate a wide range of texts, spanning from marketing and legal texts to videogame and software localisation. I work hard to ensure that the text is not only correct and accurate, but also natural. It means that I thoroughly research and study each topic I’m tasked with. The key words of my work are accuracy and reliability. When I translate my goal is to convey the message of the source text in the most correct and clearest way possible, without losing the perspective of how an Italian text should be written. I’ve also learned to find the best creative solutions for what cannot be expressed in the target language, solutions which are still consistent with the source message.

I am a freelance translator based in Milan. During my university years I have collaborated with many translation agencies, and now I am starting my freelance business. I have graduated with full marks in Linguistic and cultural mediation in 2019, with a thesis on the translation of a french user guide about e-agriculture. I have attended courses on literary translation, specialized translation, interpreting - chuchotage, conference interpreting and consecutive interpreting. I have done traineeships in 3 different LSP based in Milan, and I worked in each one during 3 months. I have improved my hard skills and I have gained some important soft skills - as teamwork, problem-solving and lateral thinking. I have translated more than 15'000 in a range of subjects: general, agriculture, cosmetics and many others.

After graduating in Specialized Translation from Italy's Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, I spent several years working as a translator, interpreter, editor and language consultant for an NGO sponsoring medical and environmental research. I am now working as a freelance translator, editor, proofreader and language consultant. My clients include not-for-profit organizations, publishing houses and LSPs. I specialize in environmental issues, agriculture, agricultural technology, food & drink, medical texts and research (especially nutrition and endocrinology), botany, biology, cosmetics, and international organizations. I seek to broaden my horizons by working together with clients as prestigious and enthusiastic as my current clients. I am ambitious by nature and, through my translations, I will help you make the world a better place to live.

I am Romanian and Italian and I have studied English and Spanish at the University oy Pisa and University of Bologna. I have also lived, studied and worked abroad in 2009-2010 in Valencia with the Erasmus Programme at the University of Valencia.

I finished University in 1999 and since then I have always worked in the translation field. I have good work relationships with some major global translation companies and I am used to working with a variety of offline and online CAT tools. I am always available for short translation tests to give potential clients the opportunity to try my services.
