Thank you for taking a look at my profile. I’m an experienced translator for the pairs EN>PT-BR and ES>PT-BR, with many translation projects done. I'm a post-graduation professor and former IBM consultant, Brazilian, living in the metropolitan area of São Paulo. As a certified translator for the pair English into Brazilian Portuguese, I’m interested in new opportunities and starting long-term relationships. The fields I have done translation work include scientific articles, telecom, websites, ERP, legal, marketing, petroleum, engineering, technical manual, IT, software localization, HR, and other subjects. My native language is Portuguese. I was certified Portuguese interpreter and translator by the state of Texas in 2004 by the Dallas County Community College System.

I have worked as a translator, proofreader and editor in several specialized fields.I lived and worked in the USA for 10 years , therefore I am able to understand the intricacies of both languages and cultural contexts. I have extensive experience in translating, proofreading, subtitling and transcriptions . I am a full time translator, which allows me to accept high volume projects and deliver a quick turnaround.I have translated many texts and books for private and governmental institutions.

I've been a reporter (as a day job) for almost ten years. I've been doing translations as a freelancer for longer. I am currently working as a multimedia producer at BBC News Brasil and studying law at USP (Universidade de São Paulo). I am used to working under pressure, so I am a good choice for pressing deadlines. I only take one translation job at a time.
