First, I would like to introduce myself very briefly. I am a 42-year old native Portuguese speaker, who grew, studied and, nowadays, works in Portugal (in the city with the famous hovering umbrella installation, by the way). Before finishing university I decided to interrupt studies to work as an expatriate translator/interpreter in a construction project with a Portuguese company in Barbados. I have completed university after returning and never stopped doing what I really like: communicate between languages. The total number of words over these 20 years exceeds 5,000,000 words, with companies and brand names such as Huawei, Unitel, IBM, Unilever, Suunto, Dell, Disney, Gesticer, Harley Davidson, to name a few. I have a degree in Law and I am a lawyer and I have a degree in Pharmacy having worked both in the pharmaceutical industry and managing a pharmacy. I've been a reporter (as a day job) for almost ten years. I've been doing translations as a freelancer for longer. I am currently working as a multimedia producer at BBC News Brasil and studying law at USP (Universidade de São Paulo). I am used to working under pressure, so I am a good choice for pressing deadlines. I only take one translation job at a time.

Actually more of a hobbyist translator. As a hobby, I've translated over 1.000 pages of roleplaying games and videogames material. Maybe someone will want a passionate translator for their projects?

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am majoring in Portuguese and minoring in Translation and Localization. I have worked as a translator and project manager for Mormon Insights (a BYU website that publishes religious articles) for 4 months.
