I am a Brazilian native translator working with the English-Portuguese pair for the past 5 years. Before that, I’ve worked in the IT industry for over 20 years in the software sector, having ample knowledge of software development, project management, and business processes. As a translator, I have worked with texts and videos on artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality as well as tutorials and articles on products from big players in the industry such as Microsoft, Google, Kaspersky, and others. In the medical field, I have translated protocols for clinical trials, questionnaires, and investigator’s brochures on new drugs. Besides that, I teach English to lawyers, accountants, admen and managers in Brazil as a private teacher, not only having to prepare specific classes, but also having to edit and proofread their emails and reports. Additionally, I have translated hospitality information and tour guides for a travel company. Given the growing exchange between countries, it is fundamental that services and products are accessible to an ever-wider number of people. I am interested in making all kinds of media more accessible to the general public, especially in places like Brazil, where few people speak English, although it is a widely spoken language.
