Brazilian Portuguese Translator

I am Tiago Vidal and I am a translation student at the University of Lisbon. I recently did Erasmus in Barcelona.

I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

Professionally trained and specialized en/pt-BR translator with a BA in International Relations. Available for translation, localization, proofreading, and interpreting jobs. Fields of translation expertise: general, legal, medical, financial, social sciences, politics, technical, IT, website localization, education etc.

I was raised Trilingual in Haiti speaking French, Haitian Creole and English (Level C2). Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese (Level C1) for I have been living and studying in Brazil since 2017. I speak Intermediate Spanish (Level B2). Part time freelance translator since 2016 and have done work related interpretation on a daily basis since 2014. I am flexible and offer introductory rates for new clients.

Detail oriented, high language skills

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I would also like to add that I can handle deadlines just fine.

I've been working as a freelance translator since 2018 and have experience working with direct clients and for agencies. I've translated and proofread texts from the technical, game localization, marketing, IT, medical, law and engineering fields.

I'm a native Portuguese translator, on the market for over 6 years. I've worked with several known companies such as Panasonic, IQ Options and TetraPak, which allowed me to solidify myself as an experienced translator on a few areas of interest. I have a communication degree, that allowed me to not only develop my writing skills, but also propelled me to gather my own network of satisfied clients. However, I'm always looking for more!
