I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

I have worked as a translator, proofreader and editor in several specialized fields.I lived and worked in the USA for 10 years , therefore I am able to understand the intricacies of both languages and cultural contexts. I have extensive experience in translating, proofreading, subtitling and transcriptions . I am a full time translator, which allows me to accept high volume projects and deliver a quick turnaround.I have translated many texts and books for private and governmental institutions.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I would also like to add that I can handle deadlines just fine.

First, I would like to introduce myself very briefly. I am a 42-year old native Portuguese speaker, who grew, studied and, nowadays, works in Portugal (in the city with the famous hovering umbrella installation, by the way). I am a trained translator with a diploma in English and Portuguese languages and translation post-graduate studies. Before finishing university I decided to interrupt studies to work as an expatriate translator/interpreter in a construction project with a Portuguese company in Barbados. I have completed university after returning and never stopped doing what I really like: communicate between languages. My experience and skills are especially strong with medicine, IT/ICT, defence, business, marketing and legal translation, dealing with contracts, annual reports, corporate websites, bidding documents, business plans, brochures, presentations, written resolutions, and agreements, confidential emails, language assistance in meetings, also experience in diplomatic level. The total number of words over these 20 years exceeds 5,000,000 words, with companies and brand names such as Huawei, Unitel, IBM, Unilever, Suunto, Dell, Disney, Gesticer, Harley Davidson, to name a few. I first started translating non-professionally in 2014. That's when my passion for translation bloomed. Since then, I have never stopped doing it. I hold a degree in the field of Information Technology, and now I am specializing in Translation. I have been a gamer since I was a child, as well. Lucas Favaretto Tazinafo is a Bachelor of Biomedicine, Specialist in Clinical Analysis, Master of Biosciences and Doctor of Immunology and Pathophysiology by the University of São Paulo (USP). He is currently working as a translator, uniting his passion for the English language with science.
