I've been working as a freelance translator since October 2019. Since then, I translated more than 250 thousand words, and proofread/revised more than 85 thousand words, both from English and Russian to Brazilian Portuguese. Games are my main field of expertise, and I am experienced with online games (adventure; hidden objects; casino/betting games). Also, I performed many jobs in the field of marketing (CPA, Affiliate Network), websites and mobile apps. I have been translating technical, business and private contents from English to Portuguese for more than 10 years. Throughout this time, I have translated and proofread documents such as, hospital equipment catalog, questionnaire, medical forms, surveys, restaurant menus, letters, product list, prenuptial agreement, nautical manual, children and adult apps, casino games, real state software among other documents. Besides my current position as a freelance Translator, I have some experience in Subtitling, considering rules of synchronization and how to use subtitling software. I can also act as a Transcriptionist, understanding basic rules of verbatim and true verbatim transcription.

My experience as a translator ranges from technical documents to entertainment texts. I am a Law Bachelor and I have worked as a tax advisor, writing and proofreading documents in both English and Portuguese as daily jobs. I worked also on the Brazilian localization of EA’s FIFA 18 and Need for Speed Payback. My job was to ensure all texts and audio were properly translated for the Brazilian market, checking if these assets were correctly implemented in-game and that they fitted the game style and natural flow of the language. Such experience lit my desire of building bridges between different cultures and breaking down the language barriers between them. In my case, Portuguese is spoken by more than 255 million people, of which 210 million are Brazilians alone. However, the majority of the lusophone population has no understanding of the English language, and English speakers too have generally no knowledge of Portuguese. This is an obstacle I want to help undo.

I have a bachelor's degree in social communication and computer science, but i worked full-time with translation for the last 6 years. I have experience translating I.T. and automation areas, literature, digital games, board games and other technical texts.

I graduated in Translation and Language Studies (Letras) in 2004 and also work as an English and Portuguese teacher at public schools since 2005. During this period I have been working as a freelance translator and proof-reader and, truly, that is my passion.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics.
