I am a Brazilian native translator working with the English-Portuguese pair for the past 5 years. Before that, I’ve worked in the IT industry for over 20 years in the software sector, having ample knowledge of software development, project management, and business processes. As a translator, I have worked with texts and videos on artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality as well as tutorials and articles on products from big players in the industry such as Microsoft, Google, Kaspersky, and others. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I translated some website articles as a volunteer (since 2010) and I worked for an import/export company where I was responsible for all external communications (English/Spanish). I also performed some translation work in one of the companies I worked in. I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.
