Hello! My name is Daniel and I have a bachelor's degree in translation from English to Brazilian Portuguese and an Associate's Degree in IT Management. I also worked with I.T since 2008. My main goal is to translate/localize software and games, as my experience in the IT field and my passion to play games. I can do different types of jobs and I can learn easily. I am an experienced translator in the market research, gaming, tourism and lifestyle fields. I have previously served as a market researcher covering food, drink, lifestyles, trends, technology, and media habits in Brazil. I also have some experience in subtitling, working as a volunteer for TED. I have lived in English speaking countries for over eight years now and I am a native Portuguese speaker. I hold a B.A. in Industrial Design, a Masters in Marketing Analysis, and a Certificate in Language Interpretation and Translation. Born in São Paulo, I always had a passion for exploring the world and learning about different cultures, which led me to live in Riverside (California, EUA), Dublin, London, and Tokyo. 9 years of experience with translation, proofreading, and editing from English into Brazilian and European Portuguese. I started at Demand Media Studios and WikiHow back in 2013 translating do-it-yourself and general knowledge articles. Then, I moved to Upwork and Elance to try and build partnerships with some direct clients. 534 tracked hours on Upwork and 390 contracts since 2014. 549,371 words translated on Gengo, with more than 1,287 tracked hours. 7,780 words on MotaWord since 2015.
