Welcome to my page. I am a freelance translator based in Kyiv, Ukraine. My mother tongues are both Ukrainian and Russian. I translate from English, French and Polish. In 2018, I graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Economics with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics. I majored in Translation in Economics and Finance. In 2020, I graduated from the St. Petersburg State University with a master’s degree in International Relations. I majored in Studies of the Baltic and Nordic Countries. I am a certified translator with extensive knowledge and practical experience. I specialize in technical translations as I have studied Applied Mathematics and IT at the University. I also have a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and have studied English in London and collected EFCELT certificate stating that my level of English is C2 (I have achieved 100% on my test). I believe that the key to the perfect translation is researching its topic. There is no other way to use the right terminology. I always do my research and all the terms I use are on point.

I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.

I'm a licensed translator from French, English, Spanish and Italian languages. I have a Ph.D degree in linguistics for researching short French science-popular movies, so I have a large experience in movie translation that I like very much. Besides, I took a course of advanced training in hospitality in French after which I worked in a French company as animator. Also, I underwent training in an aviation agency for a year where I worked as a translator then. Always learning, always hardworking.
