Multilingual translator with experience in various fields

Within 23 years’ career in Caterpillar I had held many different positions in engineering, product support, sales, marketing and management. In the beginning of services as a technical rep of Engine Division, I was actively engaged in the translation of advertising, marketing and technical literature on diesel and gas generator sets, power trains for oil and gas industry, commercial engines. Later on was always involved in the practice of interpreting during negotiations with customers at various conferences, trainings and other events. Consistently attracted to translate complicated technical literature, such as Diagnostics & Troubleshooting, Disassembly & Assembly, Service training materials.

I am a chemical engineer by trade and I graduated the Moscow Institute of Oil & Gas Industry. I am about 30 years worked as a chemical engineer and chemist. In the last 8 years, I have been engaged in translation from English to Russian of the different types of texts. I take part also in project Coursera as translator-volunteer. Being a professional translator, during employment as professor of English and post-graduate studies between 1999 and 2015, did various translations on a free-lance basis; provided prompt and accurate written translations of procedures, methods, reports, memos, letters, manuals, training materials and other documents; performed interpretation as needed for both formal and informal meetings, training programs, and presentations; edited and formatted both English and Russian texts; reviewed and evaluated work done by other translators and interpreters.

I have finished MA studies in Philology and Translation, currently I work in translation office in Warsaw. My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, I am also fluent in English and Polish. I live in Poland for 5 years already.
