My name is Raúl Guerrero, and I am a full-time certified freelance translator / interpreter with degrees from US universities and 18 years of experience. I focus on quality, quick delivery, and accuracy. My native language is Spanish, and I studied in the US for approximately 7 years obtaining my high school diploma, a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University (Ames, IA, USA), and an MBA from Tiffin University (Tiffin, OH, USA). I've been working as a translator and interpreter for more than 25 years and I've acquired a lot of experience in various fields such as legal, engineering, information technology, power plants, oil&gas, etc. However, I'm far from resting on my laurels since I understand very well that the languages are dynamic and the world is constantly changing, so I'm in the constant pursuit of new skills and knowledge that'd help me to stay up-to-date and do my job in the most efficient and precise manner.

I have a Translation and interpreting degree, specialised in Sworn Translation. Experience in translations for the Polytechnic University department, essays, and educational material, as well as translations in the International trade area covering a wide range of fields.

I´m a Colombian expat currently living and studying International Relations and business at Kazan (Volga region) Federal University in Kazan, Rep. of Tatarstan. Russia. I speak fluently English and Russian + my native Spanish. My interests are Political and Economical affairs, linguistics and second language acquisition, Sociology and all that concerns Human Sciences. Few years ago i was a proffesional Soccer player (2012-2014) in a professional club of the Second division of my country. Colombia. Currently I teach ESL in a language academy of Kazan.

I have started translating in 1997, as part of my duties for an ISO 9000- QS 9000- ISO 14000 training and consulting agency. That job provided me with wide and practical experience in many areas, until I could leave the on-site job and start as a freelancer.
