My name is Martin Sonia, a professional translator. I have been working with the GENGO team since 2014.

As an immigrant in the USA I have experienced first hand the challenges of language barriers, and my passion for languages and desire to help my community motivated me to learn more about language services. I have worked with educational, religious entities and businesses to address the disconnection between them and their Spanish speaking audience. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish from Utah Valley University and I have been involved in translation and interpretation for the last 14 years. I have experience translating legal documents, religious articles and higher education content that has been used internationally. Now, as an entrepreneur of a translation and localization business, I know I have the cultural and linguistic knowledge to help you and your business to not be lost in translation.

Although originally from Morocco, I grew up in Spain, but I have also experienced other cultures and backgrounds by living in France, Canada and Mexico. These experiences in my life helped me to learn and adapt to different environments and cultures and allowed me to build myself and grow with an international mindset. About my experience as a translator, I have worked on a variety of documents such as reports, letters, brochures, dossiers, web content, news, forms, architecture contracts, e-commerce, marketing, etc. Also, I participated in quality control & post-edition projects.

Since I was on college I had a strong passion for linguistics and the proccess of how language is acquired. Perfectioning my english and forming reading circles were some of the activities I put my effort on, aswell focusing my studies on a language-based therapy. My interest in language has led me to translation, in which I have worked these years having completed translations in areas as diverse as cooking, industry, sports betting, medicine, documentation, among others.

My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French. I have 10 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and 9 as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

As a student of English and Spanish Linguistics and Literature I am able to offer translations, transcreations, edited versions etc. in English, Spanish and Dutch (mother tongue).

I am an English-into-Spanish translator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a four-year university degree in Translation Studies and a postgraduate course in Copyediting of Spanish Texts. I am also licensed by the Association of Sworn Translators of the City of Buenos Aires (CTPCBA). For nearly eight years I have been working as a freelance translator providing EN>ES translation, localization, proofreading and editing services to individual clients, companies, and translation agencies all around the world. I am specialized in Healthcare and Medicine, Medical Instruments, Business, Marketing, but also worked in other fields.
