I've been working as a translator and interpreter for more than 25 years and I've acquired a lot of experience in various fields such as legal, engineering, information technology, power plants, oil&gas, etc. However, I'm far from resting on my laurels since I understand very well that the languages are dynamic and the world is constantly changing, so I'm in the constant pursuit of new skills and knowledge that'd help me to stay up-to-date and do my job in the most efficient and precise manner.

As an immigrant in the USA I have experienced first hand the challenges of language barriers, and my passion for languages and desire to help my community motivated me to learn more about language services. I have worked with educational, religious entities and businesses to address the disconnection between them and their Spanish speaking audience. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish from Utah Valley University and I have been involved in translation and interpretation for the last 14 years. I have experience translating legal documents, religious articles and higher education content that has been used internationally. Now, as an entrepreneur of a translation and localization business, I know I have the cultural and linguistic knowledge to help you and your business to not be lost in translation.

I am a biologist and I have lived, studied and/or worked in USA and Germany. I love translating and paying attention to every detail, and I adapt myself to the needs of the clients. For me, it is very important that the translation is as clear as the text in the original language. I speak fluently Spanish, German and English.

Since I was on college I had a strong passion for linguistics and the proccess of how language is acquired. Perfectioning my english and forming reading circles were some of the activities I put my effort on, aswell focusing my studies on a language-based therapy. My interest in language has led me to translation, in which I have worked these years having completed translations in areas as diverse as cooking, industry, sports betting, medicine, documentation, among others.

I have a bachelors degree in Business with Marketing and Human Resources Diplomas. I've been working for more than 30 years in Translation, Transcription and Transcreation. I started my career as professional translator in 1995, when I joined the foreign department of a pharmaceutical company. At that time, I enjoyed an international environment, giving me the possibility to work extensively in different kind of documents, including technical translations, legal and financial. Afterwards in 2005, 9 years later, I started my career as independent translator. My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French. I have 10 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and 9 as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

I have worked in-house as a PM and a translator both in Canada and in Argentina. I have been working with agencies around the world (China, US, Canada, France, etc.) for more than 15 years.
