My name is Abu Elmaawy. I'm a native Swahili translator with ten years' experience in various fields including Mobile phone UI, TV UI, Legal, Business, Engineering and Information Technology. I'm also a member of ITA.

I wish to express my interest in translating English to Swahili projects for you. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Arts - Counselling Psychology. I am an English -Swahili native linguist. I have been in this career for 3 years. I have specialized in many fields namely: Medical, Legal, Education, Pedagogy, HealthCare, Nutrition, Marketing, General docs, Electronics, Websites, Technology, Psychology tools, Games and Sports, Engineering, Mobile Phone Apps, Phones, Tourism, Hospitality and Conversation / Greetings /Letters.  My daily translation ability is around 3000 words and can increase if essential. I am available from 5.00a.m.- 7.00 p.m. GMT and also on weekends. My best translation rate is 0.05 USD per word. I own a PC and use SDL Trados, Memsource, MemoQ and WordFast. I am very diligent in my work and check my email all the time. 

English is the predominant language for instruction in Kenya's Educational system, having been a British Colony. I’m skilled at verbal as well as written communication. I have the capacity to Translate, Transcribe and Subtitle from videos as well as audio files, for both English and Swahili. Moreover, I’m thoroughly consumed by the passion for Language with eight years of working experience.
