In June 2022, I graduated from Istanbul University, Department of German Translation and Interpreting. I have been professionally providing translation services to many translation companies and offices for 1 year. I specialize in technical, legal and medical translations.

I am an English Language and Literature teacher graduated from BEU in 2017. I worked as an ESL teacher and now continuing my career path as a translator. In the time span from 2018 to 2020 I got my second education at MBA(Banking and Insurance) in UNEC.

My Freelance Translator Journey Before putting an end to my career as an officer in the Army I had chance of doing great volume of translation works at the highest HQ of Army for 7 years from English to my native language, Turkish, in the area of military, security, defense, international security, arms control, disarmament, peacekeeping operations, peace support operations and crisis management. Besides that experience as a translator I worked at United Nations Lebanon mission (UNIFIL) Operations Center which is one the most important and longest missions of United Nations in the context of peacekeeping that gave me priceless experience on crisis management, peacekeeping, peace support and international security and its of course terminology.

Not only this honorable mission did gave me experience but also I organised many events and attended at many meetings, workshops, seminars, events and courses in the area of disarmament and arms control in United Nations, OSCE and NATO.

I have been providing localization services to industry-leading customers such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Twitter, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, Oracle, etc. through some agencies. Working on a time-restricted schedule, I provide timely deliveries with a main focus on customer satisfaction, which requires being highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality. Hi! I am a Turkish native speaker working as a self-employed localization specialist. As for my skill set, I am actively using Trados, Memoq, Memsource, Polyglot, Lilt, Xbench, and some subtitling tools such as Captionhub, Subtitle Edit, and Amara. I am mainly specializing in IT/software localization, technical translation, website localization, marketing transcreation, and subtitling. I am also translating into English when it comes to academic research and theses, which have been published in local and international magazines on psychology, education, and social sciences. I am a passionate and experienced translator, who has a degree in French-English-Turkish translation and interpretation. I have also lived in Germany for 4 years and can translate from German to Turkish. I am working as a full-time translator at the Ministry of Justice in Turkey. I also work at the Turkish Standards Institution as a part-time language expert and translate EC and ISO standards into Turkish.
