I have been doing freelance translations from German/English into Turkish since my college education. I have been providing professional translation, proofreading, editing, and transcription services for 6 years now. I am especially interested in projects around automotive, marketing, literature, and video games.

After working in different industries for over 10 years, I've started working as a freelance translator seven years ago. I'm currently a sworn translator with extensive experience in the translation of business/finance, legal, and academic documents including business procedures/processes/reports, agreements, research papers, website content, instruction manuals etc. in areas such as banking, oil/energy, construction/architecture, IT, etc.. My past work experience gives me a great advantage in clearly understanding the content and context of a material and then translating/interpreting it accurately and effectively, but I also always try to improve my skills further and keep myself up to date with the latest developments in my industry. I can define myself as a researcher who seeks the foundation of science and technology, and deals with developing it with an innovative approach to put forward a reasonable solution. To refer to my educational background, I completed my BSc and MSc studies in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. I was awarded a scholarship by Turkish Government to study PhD abroad in July 2007. After taking English course in Brighton, UK, and getting the sufficient IELTS score, I started to study PhD in the end of January 2008 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester in the UK completing with a distinguished thesis in October 2012. My research areas vary from power electronics, wind energy conversion systems, control systems, power systems, renewable energy technologies, power conversion, converter design and control, electrical machines, avionics, blockchain to smart grids

As someone with a diverse educational background and having worked in different areas, I have managed to employ my various skill and know-how to translation/editing/review processes. My bilingual education since elementary school, different areas (applied sciences, economics, marketing) of expertise and mostly my passion for anything related to technology has proven very useful, and humbly, distinguishing even. My journey through technology includes software development, hardware enthusiasm, testing bleeding edge features and of course a passion for gaming. Somewhat of a nerd, I live in a world of popular culture references, comic books, science trivia, political discussions, film festivals, progressive rock albums, movie marathons, getting the most of mobile phones, weekend trips for trekking, cycling and lots and lots of reading. I am a passionate and experienced translator, who has a degree in French-English-Turkish translation and interpretation. I have also lived in Germany for 4 years and can translate from German to Turkish. I am working as a full-time translator at the Ministry of Justice in Turkey.
