I am a native Turkish speaker and a certified translator/interpreter with over 10 years of experience in translation, interpreting and proofreading. I have studied and lived in English speaking countries for many years. I started working as a full-time sworn in-house translator in 2007 and worked continuously for the the same translation/localization agency for 10 years until March 2017. After taking English course in Brighton, UK, and getting the sufficient IELTS score, I started to study PhD in the end of January 2008 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester in the UK completing with a distinguished thesis in October 2012. As someone with a diverse educational background and having worked in different areas, I have managed to employ my various skill and know-how to translation/editing/review processes. My bilingual education since elementary school, different areas (applied sciences, economics, marketing) of expertise and mostly my passion for anything related to technology has proven very useful, and humbly, distinguishing even. I have been working as a professional translator since sophomore class. After having graduated from Bilkent University's Translation and Interpretation Department in 2002, I worked in several sectors including media and advertisement, while also continuing my profession as a freelancer.
