I have Bachelor's Degree in Translation & Interpreting Studies at Yeditepe University in Istanbul. Since the beginning of my education at this department, I have done many translations in EN > TR and TR > EN language pairs. I did my internship at ES Language Services, which is the first localization company to be established in Turkey and is widely known in localization sector. I have gained experience in website localization, IT texts and some other fields I listed on my profile during my internship and my education. I also translate contents for two magazines in Turkey, Düşünbil and Libido, and a translation newspaper, which can be found on www.ceviriyoruz.org website. I'm working as a freelance translator since 2007 and my main expertise areas are IT, technical, and video games. I also work on marketing, social sciences, educational materials, and questionnaires in general. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and native speaker of Turkish, so I mostly work on English-Turkish pair. After translated and proofread almost all kinds of texts including news reports, short stories, articles in Physics and Fine Arts, advertising copies, operating manuals etc., I have specialized in translation of medical texts such as radiology reports, discharge summaries, operative reports and pathology reports. In addition, I have received Post-Editing Certification from SDL, thanks to which I have post-edited over 500k words. So, I am be able to approach to translation from so many different angles to understand correctly, process deeply and translate functionally the texts of my customers to other language as a result of having gained valuable experience in several fields.
