Hello! My name is Dr. April Stines and I am a seasoned Russian-English & German-English translator/proofreader. I've been working in the translation industry for many years. My specialization is in academic texts, legal documents and literature, but I cover many areas of translation: from blockchain to video games. A little about myself. I'm from the US, but now reside in Riga, Latvia and have a PhD in Slavic & East European Studies.

I have also completed three years of German-language study at the University of Arizona. If you watched any of the English-language broadcasts of the Opening Ceremony on February 7, 2014, then you would have heard some of my translations of the speeches of officials as read by the TV commentators. I have been translating and editing Italian to English professionally since the end of 2016 and as a hobby for more than a decade. My focus is IT, marketing, retail, software, general business and creative writing. Prior to translating I worked for 20+ years in IT, sales and general management.
