i just started out as a translator. due to my previous working expierence in the medical field, i am interested in medical translations

I have been working as a translator for a number of international agencies and online platforms for more than 9 years now. In addition, I worked as a teacher of French, English and German for about 13 years, preparing students for their A-Levels. I hold an M.A. in English, French and Literature and completed my studies at the University of Osnabrück in December 2011. During my studies, I spent two academic years abroad, namely in Angers (France) and in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and have been to the US a number of times over the years as well. Starting out as an interpreter for a local translation agency in 2013, I have been expanding my collaboration with a number of international agencies and online platforms ever since and completed countless translations for major international companies and SMEs from all over the world.

I am a certified court translator and interpreter for English, with over 30 years of work experience in translation, proofreading, editing, transcription etc. in English, German, French, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian. Over the years I have acquired extensive knowledge of legal, business, marketing, and other terminology. I also have significant experience in the fields of cooking and food, agriculture, kitchen and home appliances, and IT. I am eager to work and provide solutions in a timely and reliable manner, with client satisfaction always being my main goal.

I am a professional translator. Before and during my academic career I have worked as a freelancer, performing on specialized texts such as user manual guides, scientific abstracts, patents, technical data sheets, popular science articles, and business contracts. I am able to translate other literary genres, also less formal like novels, newspaper and fashion articles, and literary works in general with a certain degree of proficiency at using CAT tools like SmartCat, OmegaT, Wordfast Anywhere, SDL Trados, MateCat. My linguistic combinations are: IT>EN/EN>IT, IT>DE/DE>IT. I am very flexible in terms of working hours and workload because I am prepared to work late and also on weekends in case of urgent projects. Welcome! Languages are my passion! Translating is so fascinating, because it connects people from different continents and countries. I've been loving languages since my childhood. It's amazing to see the different terms and words in another language for the same matter. I started to translate from time to time in 2018, although I have a business and legal background, I've been always busy with languages and translating beside my job as a tax adviser, later on I managed a German-Taiwanese shipping company, all in English of course. I learned Russian in an extended way since my childhood, later on Persian and Turkish (this is the country, where I'm currently living.) I have a Master's degree in translation and interpreting (German/English/Spanish) and I did two Bachelor's degrees in transcultural communication and Spanish language. Thanks to many stays abroad in the US, Spain, and Latin America I could perfect my English and Spanish skills.
