As an English to Italian ProZ.com Certified PRO Network gaming, technical, and marketing translator (EN 15038) and Italian native speaker, I have been translating on a volunteer basis since 2012 (working on big projects since 2016) and professionally since 2020. I have experience in handling localization processes as a whole for text-heavy video games, as a translator (transcreation, proofreading, photo editing), LQE specialist, LQA tester, and localization project manager (file preparation, regex tagging, developer relations). 2,500,000 words translated, with a daily output of 4,500 words.

My name is Fanni, and I am currently studying International Business Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest. My native language is Hungarian, but besides that I speak English at an advanced level and I have an intermediate level Business Italian language certificate, moreover, I am preparing for an advanced level Business Italian language exam at the moment. I have translated theses, contracts, commercial texts and social media posts before, of which you can find some in my portfolio. I am Romanian and Italian and I have studied English and Spanish at the University oy Pisa and University of Bologna. I have also lived, studied and worked abroad in 2009-2010 in Valencia with the Erasmus Programme at the University of Valencia.

I'm a professional translator from English, French, Japanese into Italian (native speaker). I specialise in subtitles for TV shows, films and corporate videos but I also translate a wide range of texts, spanning from marketing and legal texts to videogame and software localisation. I work hard to ensure that the text is not only correct and accurate, but also natural. It means that I thoroughly research and study each topic I’m tasked with. The key words of my work are accuracy and reliability. When I translate my goal is to convey the message of the source text in the most correct and clearest way possible, without losing the perspective of how an Italian text should be written. I’ve also learned to find the best creative solutions for what cannot be expressed in the target language, solutions which are still consistent with the source message.

I finished University in 1999 and since then I have always worked in the translation field. I have good work relationships with some major global translation companies and I am used to working with a variety of offline and online CAT tools.
