Hi, my name is Bartek. I'm a native speaker of Polish and fluent in English. I'm a student and in my free time I translate articles.

I have a PhD in applied linguistics and two M.A. diplomas: in English and in Spanish philology. I work in a team of two professional, Polish, freelance, sworn translators with more than 15 years of translation practice each of us. My fortes include the following fields: law, contracts, notarial deeds, accountancy, real estate, banking, legal regulations, legal opinions, IT, user manuals for household appliances, high-tech devices and industrial machinery. I specialize in legal/finance/business/marketing and general translations. I use various CAT and I am willing to learn new tools as required. I work in flexible hours depending on open projects. I started my adventure with languages when I was 16 years old. Learning new vocabulary and translating the texts (mostly about entertainment, photography, news, games, or travel) became my favorite thing to do. Right now, after more than ten years, I still feel very passionate about languages, and I am improving my skills and learning additionally French, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean.

I am a freelance German/English <> Polish translator specialising in technical, marketing and community translations. I also hold credentials of a NAATI Certified Translator (English to Polish) and a NAATI Recognised Practising Translator (German to Polish), for the latter as the only translator with such credentials in Australia. I am a member of POLSiT (the Australian Institute of the Polish Language Interpreters and Translators) and AUSIT (the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators).

I have finished MA studies in Philology and Translation, currently I work in translation office in Warsaw. My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, I am also fluent in English and Polish. I live in Poland for 5 years already.
